TRANSCRIBED FROM THE DAILY ARKANSAS GAZETTE JANUARY 12, 1919 P. 30
Here I am in Sam’s army post offices, and where the rest of the boys of the outfit are the Central Record’s office only knows. They went to different places to fill up vacancies. Guess you folks back home want to know when we are coming back. Well, if I celebrate July 4 in “Arkie” I will be surprised. Hope you enjoyed a merry Christmas. Give all my friends my highest regards.
NOTES: This partial letter was written by Frank Lyndon Adams of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He had been company clerk for Co. C. of the 153rd Infantry. He was born on January 15, 1899 in Arkadelphia and died on June 1, 1978 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is buried in the Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock. He was listed as a Corp. U S Army serving in World War I.
