TRANSCRIBED FROM THE PINE BLUFF DAILY GRAPHIC SEPTEMBER 27, 1918 P. 3
Believe me, Sis, this sure is some country. I have lots to tell you, but can’t do it now as the censor is very severe. I Am in good health and was not seasick, but fel suspicious several times. We are somewhere in England, but I can’t say where. Give my love to mother and all, and don’t worry about me, for I would not change places with President Wilson. Will write a long letter soon.
NOTES: This is a partial letter written by Henry Brenke to his sister, Louise Brenke, who lives at 101 Ohio Street in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
