TRANSCRIBED FROM THE CALICO ROCK PROGRESS JANUARY 3, 1918 P. 2.
November 23, 1918
I am in the State of Lexumburg now.
Well sis, how are your all. I am just fine and hope you all are the same.
Well Ollie I don’t know how long we will stay here, but I don’t guess we will stay here very long.
We have been hiking about 10 days. I sure have seen lots of France.
Well Ollie what have you been doing these days? I guess you all are done picking cotton now.
I guess you all have heard the good news, the war is over. I am sure proud of it.
The boys are having a fine time, we are in Germany. I don’t know when we will get to come back to the states. I sure hope it won’t be long.
Well Ollie I haven’t heard from you all since I have been here. I sure would like to hear from you all. This makes the fifth time I have wrote you all.
Well I guess I had better close for this time. Tell everybody hello for me. Ans. Soon.
