TRANSCRIBED FROM THE SOUTHERN STANDARD JULY 4, 1918 P. 1
Received two letters from you and one from May 5th. Was sure glad to hear from you. I am just fine and well at the present writing and hope I can stay that way.
I am writing this letter to you all and hope you are all well. Guess I will get my mail pretty regular now, hope so any way.
This war game is great if you don’t weaken. “But Oh! Gee.”
Am glad Bob has a good job in the post office. Guess I will close and get some sleep.
NOTES: Pvt. William Zenas Clark of Arkadelphia, Arkansas was born on November 19, 1892 and died on July 25, 1979. He is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Arkadelphia.
