TRANSCRIBED FROM THE GREEN FOREST TRIBUNE FEBRUARY 22, 1918 P. 2
Jan. 25, 1918
Dear Folks:
Well I landed o.k. And am feeling fine. Am now somewhere in England in a rest camp. I stood the trip fine. Didn’t get seasick at all and the sea was sure rough.
I don’t know yet what I can say in a letter. I will have to write very short letters.
The people seem funny to us. And the money, we never know how much we have. I will write every chance I get. You can write to me and I will get the letters all right.
I just wanted to let you know I was safe and sound.
Love to all,
Guy
