TRANSCRIBED FROM THE ASHELY COUNTY EAGLE NOVEMBER 14, 1918 P. 1
We are having some cool weather here now: had frost two mornings, but I had forgotten that it’s time for cold weather. I don’t keep up with the dates enough to really what month it is. I can truly say that I’m glad that I came over, not only because Uncle Sam needs me, but I wouldn’t have missed the trip for anything, as one boy said, we’ve already seen enough to die for. I can’t write what I wish to say as I can’t explain on paper like I could tell you, but here’s hoping it won’t be long till I can tell you face to face.
NOTES: This is a partial letter written by Nofflet T. Denson to his family from France.
