TRANSCRIBED FROM THE HOTS SPRINGS NEW ERA FEBRUARY 14, 1919 P. 4
Le Mans, France Jan 23
Dear Friend Nobie:
You will no doubt be surprised to hear from me. Well, I am “over here.”
This is some country, strange sights old ancient buildings and very peculiar faces. Have ben in several of the largest cities. They all look alike. Will be glad though when I get back to the Springs.
This is Sunday—very quiet over here now—nowhere to go only to the Y.M.C.A. Went to services at the Y today.
How is everybody in the Springs? I guess it is very cold in the U.S. now—pretty cold over here. Have any of the boys come home yet? How are all of the boys and girls, also Bro. Tate?
I hope to be back in the dear old U.S.A. soon. We have been working hard for the last two weeks.
Write and tell me all the news.
With best wishes,
Leon E. Discus
NOTES: Discus is writing to a friend, Miss Nobie Thompkins.
