My dear mother:
I will write you a few lines as I am well and having a good time. I guess you will all have a good xmas. I hope so. I guess you all know as much about the war as I do, I think we will get to start home before long.
Say papa, Henry Garner’s boy is with me. Tell his folks that he is all O.K.
I am not going to write much more for I think I will be at home soon and I can tell you lots more than I can write. I am not going to write any more. Will close.
