Dear Father, Mother, and All:
I received the candy and a letter and I sure was glad to hear from you and that you were all well. This leaves me all O.K. and hoping this will find you all the same.
Well, Dad I got your letter this morning so I thought I would write.
Well I think we will move tomorrow or the next day. I don’t know where we are moving to. Think we will be moving toward the states before long.
Father you asked me if I knew anything about Claud. I sure don’t know anything about him. I have not heard from him since I left him at Camp Pike, Ark., there I saw him a day or two before I left. If you hear from him send me his address I will try to find him.
Mama, you said you were getting dinner, just go ahead and when you get it ready I will be there, don’t know what day but soon. I think I told you that I got the Christmas box, but I will tell you again for fear that you never got the other letter, that the candy sure was fine. Say mama, the handkerchief was so nice that I didn’t know what to do with it but I put it in a little box as a loving gift from mother.
I will close for this time.
