NOTES: Rowland Roy Greene wrote this partial letter from Siberia about a visit to Vladivostok on the way to serve with the American Expeditionary Forces In Siberia. He was born on June 8, 1893 in Glouster, Ohio and died on May 31, 1947 in Washington County, Arkansas. He was a Sergeant in Company H, 31st Infantry. His was writing to his mother, living in Hartford, Arkansas. He is buried in the Beaty Cemetery in Lincoln, Arkansas. His headstone identifies him as an Arkansas Sgt. 31st Infantry serving in World War I.
