TRANSCRIBED FROM THE BENTON COURIER NOVEMBER 21, 1918 P. 7
Dear Cousin:
Will answer your letter received a few days ago, and was glad to hear from you all. This leaves me getting along very well. Have been walking on crutches about a month. I am stiill in the hospital. Am hoping the war will be over soon and all we boys can go home. When you see Harry tell him I said hello, and be a good boy. Tell Louis I said hello, and tell Stella to write a few lines next tiime.
I have no news much to write, so will write again in a few days. When you write Arthur tell him to write to me.
Well, I have two or three more letters to answer, so will close for this time, with best wishes to all. Hope to see you all some time soon. Answer soon and tell me all the news.
As ever, your cousin.
Walter Guerin
NOTES: Robert W. Guerin was writing from France to his cousin Mrs. Marie Smith.
