My Dear Peele:
Just received your letter of Oct. 26th, and also two last Saturday. Glad, of course, to get them all. These few lines leaves me O. K. I sincerely hope it will find you all the same.
I can write with lots more happiness now than I could a few days ago.
It was Nov. 11 that many hearts were glad, and I’m proud to know that I was in to the last, and one of the greatest struggles for Liberty that has ever been fought on the fields of France. It is a sweet thought that Liberty Bells can ring again’
Would appreciate very much being there to eat the turkey you all are saving for me, but don’t expect I’ll hardy get there by Xmas though hope to soon. Love to all.
