Somewhere in France.
September 16, ‘18.
Dear Father:
As I haven’t heard from you since I have been over here I thought I would write and let you know that I am still alive.
I have hiked all over this country and have been over the top a couple of times. It sure is an exciting game.
This is sure a beautiful country and I like it very much. We have certainly got the Huns on the run. I don’t think this war will last much longer.
I hope this will find you all well and happy.
