I am seeing for my first time the county where I was born, but I like America best.
NOTES: This partial letter was written by Herman F. Korte to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Korte of North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was serving in the Medical and Veterinary Detachment of the 6th Field Artillery and at the time of the letter was with the Army of Occupation in Germany. He was born on June 15, 1900 in Germany and died on August 20, 1950. He is buried in the Little Rock National Cemetery in Little Rock. He enlisted on April 17, 1918.
