No doubt everyone at home wants to see the war ended rightly, and we expect to fight to the finish. The spirit of everyone seems to be the same. I am personally glad to have the opportunity of doing my bit, as any patriotic citizen should be.
THE LETTER INCUDED THIS MENU FOR THANKSGIVING DAY:
Chicken soup, roast turkey, cranberry sauce. French dressing, mashed potatoes, creamed cauliflower, fruit salad, rye bread, white bread, butter, Swiss cheese, pineapple pie, chocolate layer cake, mixed ___ mixed nuts, oranges, apples, pears, red wine, white wine, black coffee cigars and cigarettes.
NOTES: This partial letter was written from France by Sam J. Little, a former employee of Murphy and Stallcup in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He is serving as an army field clerk at headquarters.
