Guess you have heard about Walter Graham and Honest Card and the other Lavaca boys. I feel sorry for their relatives, but it could not be helped. It was awful.
NOTES: This partial letter was written by Parker Lockridge to his brother Sam Lockridge. He was born on July 2, 1896 in Sebastian County, Arkansas and died on March 23, 1981 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He served as a Private in Co. K. 163rd Infantry. He was described as being of medium height and build with light blue eyes and light brown hair. He is buried in the Lavaca City Cemetery in Lavaca, Arkansas.
