Mr. Altman
Dear Sir:
It affords much pleasure to have the privilege of writing to you all to inform you of my health. I am well in health and mind also and this I hope it will find you all ____as ever.
Some of our boys told me that you all closed ______at about four o’clock on account of the shortage of coal. We have witnessed about three weeks of bad weather as we call it although has been warm. We had a plenty of wood and cover. We went to school during that period of cold weather and now we hold the rank known as corporal. At first we was known ________corporal. We have permission in the U.S. to hold that rank. Tell ______that that sweater he knitted for me was just the card during the cold weather and I surely appreciated it. This is all from yours and the success of the country and ______.
