TRANSCRIBED FROM THE FAYETTEVILLE DAILY DEMOCRAT DECEMBER 11, 1918 P 1
Dear Friend:
Not long ago I read in the Fayetteville Daily Democrat of your liberal contribution to some boy or girl in the service and thought how nice it would be to receive the paper, but I never dreamed of that person being me.
It was so good of you to send the paper and we enjoy it immensely. Old Fayetteville is well represented here and the Daily Democrat is certainly a welcome visitor.
NOTES: Mary E. Nelson was writing to R. M. Lybarger of Farmington, Arkansas. She was born on April 1, 1892 in Arkansas and died on October 18, 1974 at Napa, California. She joined the Army Nurse Corps on October 5, 1918 and was discharged on April 20, 1919.
