TRANSCRIBED FROM THE MOUNTAIN ECHO NOVEMBER 1, 1918 P. 4
Camp Martin, Oct 22-28
Editor Echo:
Will you please give me a little space in the paper for a few words.
Perhaps my many friends in Marion county would like to know my whereabouts.
I am working harder than ever before, not only for the whole United States, but for dear old Marion county, also for what Marion county can’t do, no other county need try. I saw a copy of last week’s Echo and it gave what Marion county had done in buying Liberty Bonds. I would like to hear from every friend I have. I am now studying electricity and radio work, and am getting along fine.
I would be glad to get the Echo every week for it is like a letter from home.
From your soldier boy friend,
William H. Noe,
1st Com., Camp Martin, New Orleans, La.
