My Dear Folks:
Just arrived here and am pressed for time. Fine eats, negro waiters, linen, etc. This is some school. Will write more when I get time.

NOTES: This partial letter was written by Eldridge Marion Riggs to his family in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born on May 18, 1891 in Sheridan, Oklahoma and died on November 7,1939 in Hot Springs. He was described as being tall and slender with blue eyes and red hair. He is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hot Springs. Riggs was from Hot Springs and was sent to the U. of Arkansas for training, then to Camp Taylor, Ky and then to the U. of Texas.
