TRANSCRIBED FROM THE CALICO ROCK PROGRESS JANUARY 3, 1919 P. 2
Miss Ollie Pruitt.
I will answer your most kind and welcome letter which I received the other day, was glad to hear from you.
This leaves me all O.K. and hope they find you the same.
Was sorry to hear that Buck had to leave, but everything is looking good now and I think we will all soon get to come back home.
Are you having a good time this winter? I am having a very good time, but think I could have a better time over there.
There are lots of pretty French girls here, but I can’t talk French ha! ha!
Well I don’t think of much to write, so I will close for this time.
Hoping to hear from you soon, I remain as ever,
Pvt. L. U. Sanders,
