TRANSCRIBED FROM THE SCOTT COUNTY ADVANCE REPORTER JANUARY 17, 1918 P. 4
Camp Beauregard, La.
Jan 5th, 1918
Dear Editor:
This leaves all the Scott County boys O. K. I received the Advance Reporter today, was sure glad to get it. Some of the boys from here spent Xmas at home, but I spent it in the army. We sure had a good dinner Xmas day. I like the Remount work fine as driving mules seems just like home to me. It is raining here now; guess we will get to wade the mud for awhile. I went to the training camp last Sunday to see some of the Scott County boys for the first time since we left Camp Pike. We boys got a package for Xmas and New Year and all seemed to be proud of them. I would like to see a few words from Blansett once more. What is the reason someone don’t give us the news any way? I guess they are waiting for the soldier boys to do the writing.
