TRANSCRIBED FROM THE MOUNTAIN ECHO SEPTEMBER 27, 1917 P. 4
Camp J. E. Johnston Fla,
September 91th, 1918.
Editor Echo:
Often I wonder what my friends in Marion county are doing. I know of no better way to find out than to take The Echo for three months. Before the end of that time I hope to be over there. Expect to be back in Arkansas as soon as the war is over and take up the practice of law. Also I expect to raise more of those red apples and Nancy Hall sweet potatoes. No place grows them better than Northwest Arkansas.
1st Lieut. A. Thetfore, Q. M. C. Commanding Officer, 1st Co., 1st Shop Reg.
