Dear Sister and Home Folks:
Admitting that you are due me a letter, I will drop you a few lines to let you know that I am no longer in Camp Gordon. I left there last Sunday morning and arrived here in Camp Merritt this morning, Tuesday. Had a very nice time on my trip. Don’t guess I will be here but short time and you can guess the rest. Well, Sis, I want to write Rosie and Papa a few lines, so will make this brief, just to let you know where I was. Take care of my girl for me. I am sure you will do your best.
May God be with you till we meet again. With love to all, I remain,
Your brother,
James C. Weaver
