TRANSCRIBED FROM THE GREEN FOREST TRIBUNE SEPTEMBER 6, 1918 P. 2
Osage, Ark., Aug. 25, 1918.
Dear Mrs. Smith:
You were asking Gilbert’s address. I am now able to send it to you. I am also sending a copy of a letter received by his grandfather, W. M. Usrey. We always enjoy reading letters from any of the boys and they hear of one another so much thru the Tribune.
We certainly were glad to hear of Clayton’s safety.
It is never too late for a good rain and we certainly are getting our part now.
Frank Kenner is able to be up again after a six weeks’ siege of typhoid.
Will close.
NOTES: This letter was written by Serg. Major Gilbert Wilson from Europe.
